Current Visual Branding

Porter Cable is an American power tool company and subsidiary of Stanley Black & Decker. Although color use is consistent, texture and detailing differ across products and lead to general brand disunity. The current cordless circular saw on the far right has busy textures, excessive detailing, and unexpected color blocking.

Final Design

In addition to a subdued variation of the previous color scheme, this circular saw features a more understated logo, which is engraved into the front of the shoe assembly.

Bill of Materials

The upper blade guard, previously a matte grey plastic, has been replaced with a gravity cast magnesium guard for improved blade safety and more accurate squaring.
